Thanks to the thousands of bluegrass music fans who showed up for the Beaverdale Bluegrass Festival on Saturday, July 19.

Muggy air and a threat of rain didn't deter neighbors from showing up en masse to enjoy good music, craft beer, food trucks and a lovely evening.

Although the forecast predicted rain at some point, it held off until well after 10:00 pm closing time. In fact, around 9:00 pm, the temperatures cooled and a nice east breeze refreshed the crowd.

The Po' Ramblin Boys finished off the night with a crowd-pleasing mix of guitar, banjo, bass, mandolin, fiddle and wonderful vocal harmonies.

The Bluegrass festival is a huge undertaking to plan, set up and tear down. Admission is free and the festival wouldn't happen without many volunteers who work year-round to sell sponsorhips, book bands and arrange all the details.
