Franklin Community Fridge Opens at Library

The new Franklin Community Fridge is now open at the Franklin Avenue Library.  

The fridge is open in the east entryway of the library at 5000 Franklin Avenue.  When the library is open, the fridge is open.  Supervising Librarian Nikki Hayter says the fridge has received its first substantial donation of food.  Everything is free to take.  Donations are welcome but the library suggests these guidelines for donations:

• Fresh produce, bread, pasta, grains, and non-expired dairy products preferred
• Donations accepted Monday—Saturday during operating hours
• Please contact the Franklin Ave. Library to coordinate a donation drop-off
