Board of Directors Minutes

June 1, 2023

Location: Fishman Law Firm

1. Call to Order at 7:00 pm – Dave Busiek
2. Board Attendance:
1. Officers: Vice President Dave Busiek, Treasurer Jay Cox-Kozel, Secretary Nicholas Mertes
2. Board: Eddie Fishman, Kylie Spies, Adam Plagge, Chris Friest, Therese Herold, Missy Reams
3. Approval of Agenda: Approved
4. May meeting minutes: Approved
5. Treasurer’s Report and monthly financials: Approved
6. Public Comment: None
7. Bluegrass Festival update
1. Request resolution to increase spending cap to $25k (from 15).
2. Resolution approved.
8. Membership drive
1. Tom LaPointe donated $225 to be used for gift cards as prizes for membership drive.
2. Need to coordinate timing and outreach to promote drive. Set timeframe for renewals/new memberships to be included in prize drawing.
3. Bluegrass team will coordinate with Tom and Mike to offer free beer ticket for anyone signing up for new membership or renewal at Bluegrass Festival
9. Sidewalk content ideas
1. Library would like to be included
2. Neighbor highlights, kids activities, DM parks and Rec?
3. T-shirt info, schools, PTO
4. Ideal to have some non time sensitive/evergreen content to allow for adjustment as needed
5. July 1 deadline for August issue
10. Other business
1. T shirt sales via Raygun website- allowed up to 4 designs at no additional cost. Currently have Brick house logo plus design by Kate Ross.
2. Garden walk- tickets on sale, limited to 500
3. Farmer’s Market- Tom LaPointe and Mike McCarthy will staff, may need to have fill ins from time to time.
4. Neighborhood survey- Kylie is finalizing and will circulate before posting.
