Board minutes

May 1, 2025

• Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm.

• Attending: President Dave Busiek, Treasurer Jesse Coleman, board members Christian Sweeney, Eric Hines, Rich Montanaro, Karla Rangel, Kylie Spies, Terry Thielen. Public Affairs Committee member Kevin Moser also in attendance.

• Minutes from March 6 approved

• Board member Alex Moats has resigned. Busiek asked board members for suggestions for a replacement board member.

• Treasurer Jesse Coleman talked through the latest financial report, which the board approved.

• $500 contribution to the Beaverdale Fall Festival approved. In return, the BNA gets a 10x10 booth space.

• Kevin Moser reported the Beaverdale Big Event will be held in May with the Day of Service being held May 31. Moser also updated the board on the new website status.

• Terry Thielen from Beautification Committee updated the board on the Beaverdale Garden Walk, scheduled June 7^th, with 7 gardens ready to show. Tickets will be sold online and at four Beaverdale retailers. Terry also reported a tree honoring former board member Marion Wissler was to be dedicated in the Urbandale Avenue median on Saturday, May 3.

• Busiek reminded the board of the quarterly meeting on Tuesday, May 6 at the Northwest Community Center.

• The next board meeting on June 5^th will consist of a work session on the BNA’s strategic plan.
