Beaverdale Bluegrass Festival

« Return to the Event List

Join us in beautiful Tower Park, under a majestically illuminated Allen Hazen Water Tower, for the sixth annual Beaverdale Bluegrass Festival! Featuring:

Jon Stickley Trio (Asheville, NC; 8:45 - 10:15)
Jon Stickley Trio is a genre-defying and cinematic instrumental trio, which combines Stickley’s innovative flatpicking guitar with the sultry-spacy melodies of Lyndsay Pruett on violin along with classically trained and heavily jazz influenced drummer Hunter Deacon to create textural soundscapes.

Circus No. 9 (Nashville, TN; 7:30 - 8:30)
A progressive Bluegrass outfit, blurring the lines between Bluegrass, Jazz, Jambands, and more. Described as “John Hartford meets John Coltrane,” the group has appeared alongside artists including David Grisman, Bryan Sutton, Larry Keel, and more.

Flash In A Pan (Iowa City, IA; 6:15 - 7:15)
Flash in a Pan brings a fun mix of folk and grass music of many shades. Noted for their shining harmonies, provocative compositions, and heart-felt performances, Flash in a Pan dishes out a sound that is all at once familiar and refreshingly different.

The Cardinal Sound (Des Moines, IA; 5:00 - 6:00)
Energetic 4-piece Jamgrass/Americana Jam Band that fuses different parts of Americana music to produce an upbeat and entertaining live show.

This event is free and open to all. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Food trucks will be on hand. We recommend bringing blankets, lawn chairs and water.

Please no BYOB. Beer and Wine sales are how we pay our artists and keep this festival free.
