2008 SCRUB The event is open to all Yard waste will not be accepted at the neighborhood sites. All yard waste will need to be hauled to the Items allowed are: general trash including furniture, lawn mowers without liquids, televisions, computers, tires (on or off the rim), and appliances. This year the City is trying a pilot program of not charging for appliances. This is only a pilot program and may or may not be carried on in coming years. Items not allowed: car batteries, propane tanks, toxic liquids such as oil, paint, etc. and toxic or hazardous chemicals. Call the Metro Waste Authority’s There will be volunteers at the location to direct traffic. Plan to unload your own vehicle and do so within 15 minutes. Place all items in dumpsters or compactors as directed. Clean up your own mess after you are unloaded.
