For the past three years, Beaverdale residents Eric and Holly Olson have been ringing in Beaverdale Fall Festival in a unique way. Using pumpkins from their own backyard patch, the Olsons have decorated the front wall of their home with 11 pumpkins spelling "Beaverdale!" since 2003 -- their first year in the neighborhood. "The fall festival is first and foremost a celebration of Beaverdale," said Holly. "Since pumpkins are synonymous with fall, this seemed like a fun and different way to say Beaverdale." Holly and Eric thank Bill German and Kay Arvidson for adding to the pumpkins they've lit for neighbors, passersby and Fall Festival attendees over the years. |
