BNA Mission
The Beaverdale neighborhood Association is neighbors working together to promote the social welfare of the Beaverdale area by bringing about civic betterment and social improvements for the common good and general welfare of the community.

The BNA is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, nonprofit organization. Your company may have a matching funds program.

The membership committee does not have regularly scheduled meetings.  Tasks are done by individuals and small groups.

 


Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers needs for the membership committee include enthusiastic people with various skills: event planning and management; communicating and writing; creativity; ability to involve others; computer and Internet skills; Microsoft Word and Excel skills; and, researching the Polk County Assessor's web site.

The Membership Committee focuses on the following activities:

  • Recruiting and retaining members

  • Responding to questions from members and community

  • Mailing welcome letters to new Beaverdale home owners

  • Working with area Realtors

  • Initiating member appreciation events

  • Mailing membership renewal letters

  • Maintaining membership records

  • Maintaining the BNA mailing list

  • Providing volunteer information for BNA committees, projects

  • Managing the Beaverdale e-mail list

  • Surveying Beaverdale residents

  • Tracking and updating Beaverdale businesses and ownership

  • Preparing quarterly audit of the membership records for the BNA treasurer
