The temperature is rising, but that’s no reason to stay inside.
Here’s what August in Beaverdale looks like.
BNA EVENTS
August 1 at 6:30 p.m.
Beaverdale National Night Out
Many fun, family-friendly events are planned, and Beaver Bend is the stage. Activities include:
· Juggle Bob and Nick Lassie will be performing at Snookies. Snookies will also have ice cream cones for $.50.
· Maureen Korte will be telling stories from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Flarah's. Flarah’s will also have $0.50 cookies and free milk (milk provided by Target).
· A drawing and coloring contest with prizes for 3 age groups (0-4, 5-8 and 9+) at Chef's Kitchen.
· Deb Smith will be doing face painting at Snookies throughout the evening.
· A fire engine will arrive at around 6:30 p.m.
· The Polk Co. Sheriff's Dept. will be discussing bike safety and handing out fingerprinting kits
