Dear friends and neighbors,
As you are likely aware, the Des Moines School Board recently voted to sell the site of the former Rice Elementary to Rice Development Partners with anticipated development of the site to begin in earnest in 2007. As part of the process leading to development, Rice Development Partners will be holding two public meetings to discuss its plans for the site. The BNA recently received notice that the first of these meetings will occur this Tuesday, January 30, at 6:30 p.m. in the east cafeteria at the Northwest Community Center, 5110 Franklin Avenue.
Your attendance and participation at this meeting is welcomed and encouraged. Should the meeting prompt any thoughts or concerns you would like to share with the BNA board of directors, please reply to this e-mail (or separately at BNAPresident@beaverdale.org) and pass them along. Members of the BNA board will also be in attendance on Thursday and we look forward to seeing you there.
